A single leaf foretells autumn's arrival; as summer ends, we await the harvest. On August 7, coinciding with the beginning of autumn, a grand and enthusiastic "Ion Chromatography Expert Seminar and Special Appointment Ceremony for Expert Consultants" was successfully held at WAYEAL. Three leading experts in the field of ion chromatography - former Zhejiang University professor and doctoral supervisor Zhu Yan, doctoral supervisor Huang Weixiong from China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), and Professor Chen Baiyang from Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen) - gathered with WAYEAL to ignite new ideas!
Laboratory analytical instruments have always been one of the important tracks for domestic instruments, especially in the field of ion chromatography, where WAYEAL has consistently focused on professional depth and continuous innovation. To enhance WAYEAL's core competitiveness in the ion chromatography sector, we collaborate with academic experts in the industry to promote the advancement of Chinese ion chromatography technology to new heights. Professor Zhu Yan enjoys a high reputation in the academic community, and his numerous outstanding research achievements and forward-looking academic vision have made remarkable contributions to technological innovation and high-quality development in the entire ion chromatography industry. WAYEAL proudly announces the appointment of Professor Zhu Yan, a renowned industry expert, as an expert consultant. Through ongoing collaboration and communication, we aim to explore innovative developments, applications, and fields within ion chromatography technology.

At the signing ceremony, Zang Mu, Chairman of WAYEAL, represented the corporation, while Professor Zhu Yan attended as the newly appointed expert consultant. Both parties solemnly signed the special consultant agreement, with Professors Huang Weixiong and Chen Baiyang serving as witnesses to the event. The signing ceremony was attended by WAYEAL's Vice President Huang Wenping, General Manager of the Sales and Service Center for Analytical Instruments Jiang Weimiao, and General Manager of the Strategic and Operations Center Hu Aiping.

In his speech, Chairman Zang Mu stated, "Building ecological cooperation within the industry, accelerating technological innovation, strengthening resource sharing, and promoting industry-university-research collaboration, we are unwaveringly pushing the domestic high-end scientific instrument industry onto the international stage, keeping pace with global top levels is WAYEAL's original intention." He also expressed great honor in inviting Professor Zhu Yan to serve as a special consultant, stating, "Professor Zhu Yan's involvement not only recognizes WAYEAL's professional strength but also expresses high hopes for the future development of domestic scientific instruments."

In his speech, Professor Zhu Yan highly affirmed WAYEAL as an important force in the domestic instrument industry, focusing on ion chromatography products, dedicated to technological research and breakthroughs, breaking the import monopoly, and achieving independent control of the entire industry chain, showcasing a profound foundation in technological innovation. He expressed, "I hope this cooperation opportunity can contribute to the development of WAYEAL analytical instruments or the entire ion industry."
The convergence of industry and research insights sparks groundbreaking innovations
The signing ceremony was successfully concluded, and the first ion chromatography expert seminar immediately commenced in a warm atmosphere.

The head of WAYEAL's ion project team provided a detailed introduction to the latest progress of WAYEAL's ion chromatography technology to the attending experts. After carefully listening to the report, the experts highly praised and fully recognized WAYEAL's achievements in water quality testing, carbohydrate analysis, lithium batteries, and other fields, hoping that in the future, WAYEAL can fully leverage its advantages to strengthen application expansion and leap in combined technologies.

Huang Weixiong, a doctoral supervisor at the School of Environmental Studies, China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), detailed the latest advancements in suppressor ion chromatography. His presentation covered system construction, the development of open-tubular ion chromatography columns, pL-nL level sample injection technology, supporting electrokinetic suppression technology, nL level eluent generator technology, and contact/non-contact capillary conductivity detection technology.

Professor Chen Baiyang, a researcher at Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen), presented the latest trends in the development of ion chromatography detection equipment and methods. His focus was on four pretreatment techniques: hydrogen peroxide, haloacetic acids, dissolved organic matter, total organic halides, and total organic fluorides. He explored the future trends in pretreatment and analytical methods, highlighting a shift towards diversification, automation, low quantification, and environmental sustainability. He also proposed several practical and impactful R&D ideas.

During the in-depth communication at the private session, leading experts and scholars in the industry had lively and productive dialogues with WAYEAL's technical elites. Although chromatography theory and instrument technology have matured, relevant analytical instruments and methods continue to innovate and develop to meet various current application needs. More efficient and specialized ion chromatography separation materials, smarter chromatography detection technologies, and more compact and convenient product usage experiences are all directions for the future development of ion chromatography technology.

As a representative of outstanding enterprises in China's high-end analytical instrument industry, WAYEAL is rooted in the field of precision scientific instruments, understanding and grasping the profound connotation of domestic substitution. The successful holding of this seminar deepened the industry's understanding and recognition of WAYEAL's ion chromatography technology. Looking to the future, WAYEAL hopes to gather academic elites from the industry to jointly explore cutting-edge R&D of analytical instrument technology and high-end complex applications, promoting the deep integration of scientific research and industrial development, and forming a new engine for the rise of domestic scientific instruments!
